Washington: Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden today slammed US President Donald Trump for his “Filthy India” remarks that draw outrage from Indians all across the world.
Biden said that he and his running partner Kamala Harris deeply value America’s partnership with India.
He stated, “President Trump called India’s air filthy, this is not how you talk about friends.”
He pointed out that this is not how people face global challenges like climate change. Biden said this in his tweet, which he posted two days after Donald Trump accused China, India and Russia of not paying attention to their “filthy” air.
He further added that Obama-Biden were some of the terms, Biden-Harris will try to add on to that bond between the two countries.
Earlier, Donald Trump, during the presidential address had said, “Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia. Look at India. The air is filthy.”
