Kuala Lumpur: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly shut down their social media accounts after experiencing the ‘hate’ comments from users. The couple will not come back to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as per reports by Page Six.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they are “very unlikely” to have a presence online in the near future as the couple had received hate and inappropriate comments.
Meghan and Harry, who had scripted the history by reaching 1 million followers on its joint Instagram account within six hours.
The couple’s joint account named ‘Sussexroyal’ is still active but has not posted anything since 30 March 2020. The account has more than 10 million followers.
The couple told the newspaper that they will not use social media to promote their charity.
