Singapore Man Gets Online Funding To Pay Defamation Charges To PM

In what is being touted as a tight slap on Singapore authorities’ face, a man who was charged for defaming the country’s PM Lee Hsien Loong, got online donations to pay the fine amount to the latter.

Leong Sze Hian managed to raise S$262,000 through crowdfunding.

Leong was sued by PM Lee Hsien Loong for sharing an article where the latter was falsely linked to 1MDB scandal.

In March, the Singapore High Court ruled against Leong, despite the fact that he didn’t made any changes to it and just shared it.
