Seol: It has been one year since the tragic loss of the beloved and celebrated former, South Korean multinational girl group f(x) member and actress Sulli.
Choi Jinri at the age of 25, was found dead in her apartment in Seongnam City, South Korea by her manager on October 14 last year, a shocking and painful ending to a celebrity who was acclaimed for public acceptance and expressed her thoughts bluntly but became prey to online loathing and constant hate comments and suffered from depression.
Sulli was a child artist prior to debuting in f(x) in the year 2009. She took on a break from the group in July 2014 due to spiteful comments and rumors spread about her. After a year, she left the band in August 2015 to focus on her performing and acting career.
Choi remained the target of malicious and offensive comments and online harassment for dating Choiza Jae-ho a South Korean hip-hop recording artist who was 34 years of age and 14 years older than her. Their relationship became public in August 2014 and it ended in March 2017.
Sulli’s agency, SM Entertainment announced the sorrowful news of her death on 15th October leaving the fans inconsolable. Investigation Authorities concluded that Sulli had taken her own life after the forensic experts examining the case held an autopsy and no suspicious signs of murder or foulplay were found.
