In a speech delivered during a dinner reception with the Malaysian diaspora and students in New York, Anwar highlighted the unity government’s strategic policies, including the Madani Economy, the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), and the New Industrial Masterplan 2030 (NIMP 2030), designed to facilitate this resurgence.

Anwar underscored the significance of the NETR, which encompasses catalytic projects worth RM25 billion, aimed at positioning Malaysia as a hub for renewable energy and green technology. He emphasized that the recently approved 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) Mid-Term Review represents a substantial shift in focus and direction, aligning with the government’s commitment to good governance, democratic accountability, and the vision of transforming Malaysia into a vibrant, successful nation across economic, social, and academic dimensions.
