In a Facebook post, Anwar further stated that this victory would serve as an inspiration for the Unity Government to continue pursuing the national development agenda within the framework of the Madani economy, aimed at improving the well-being of the people. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to both the voters who reaffirmed their trust in the Unity Government and the dedicated election machinery that played a pivotal role in this success.

Amizar, a 53-year-old member of the Bentong Umno Committee, secured a convincing victory with a majority of 2,949 votes, amassing a total of 7,324 votes. His triumph came against tough competition, besting Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) Kasim Samat, who received 4,375 votes, and Independent candidate Haslihelmy DM Zulhasni, who garnered just 47 votes.
