Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today issued a legal notice to Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin demanding an apology and retraction of his claims stating that Anwar received RM15 million annually as Selangor state adviser. Anwar’s lawyers said that Muhyiddin’s claims against Anwar were allegedly defamatory.

In the legal notice sent by Anwar’s lawyers at SN Nair & Partners, they claim that Muhyiddin published or caused to published an excerpt from the PN Grand Finale cermah in Pedang Serai, Kedah, on TikTok through the @beritakini8 account on December 5.
Anwar’s lawyer said that the video was viewed 1.1 million times, shared 2,169 times, liked 21,400 times and commented on 6,061 times at the time when the letter was issued.
