PKR president Anwar Ibrahim today announced that he will be defending the Tambun parliamentary seat in Perak in the upcoming 15th general election. He said that he is confident of winning and seizing the Tambun seat and Perak, where it is not easy to get a large majority.

Anwar confirmed this in his speech at the Pakatan Harapan Convention in Ipoh today. He said that he consider himself responsible for strengthening the PH movement in the northern states. “This is my readiness,” he said.
He said if PH wins the seat in Perak then the state will be elevated to a developed state mostly in terms of economy like Penang and Selangor. When asked about the coalition using PH’s logo during GE15, Anwar said, “Up to them, our offer is to use the PH logo.”
