Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today said that the Cabinet will discuss the minimum wage issue next month and will resolve the matter once and for all. He also revealed the obstacles the government is facing in trying to implement the RM1,500 minimum wage across the board. He said this in this speech at the Labour Day celebration at Putrajaya International Convention Centre. In a statement, Anwar said, “The implementation of the minimum wage is extremely difficult and has been somewhat erratic. So, that is why at the Cabinet meeting next month, we hope to resolve this issue once and for all.”
