Covid-19: Malaysia Sees Over 3,010 New Cases, 19 Deaths In 24 Hours

Malaysia on Sunday reported 3,010 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of infections to 2,808,347. With more than 800 new Covid-19 cases, Selangor remains the worst-hit state, followed by Johor (419), Kuala Lumpur (276), Sabah (265), Kedah (209), and Penang (200). Malaysia also recorded 19 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 31,781.

In terms of vaccination, more than 78 per cent of people have been fully vaccinated while nearly 80 per cent of Malaysians have received at least one dose against Covid-19.

According to the health ministry, more than 98 per cent of the adult population of the country has been fully vaccinated.

Over 28 per cent of people have been received a booster dose of Covid-19 so far.
