DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook today urged the people of Malaysia o remain calm and patient while awaiting the final decision by Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the formation of a new federal government. He said this is the first time that the country is experiencing this and people should remain calm as the process is still ongoing.

Loke Siew said that as the 15th general election ended without a clear result on which party or coalition will form the government the process had to be conducted under the Westminster-style of parliamentary democracy.
He asked all quarters including DAP members to always preserve harmony and public order. He further said that DAP has always upheld the principles of Rukun Negara and defended the sanctity of the Malaysian Constitution.
