Johor Polls: Syed Saddiq Says MUDA Respects Negotiation Process With PKR

MUDA once again stressed that it respects the negotiation process made with PKR in fielding candidates, including in the N.44 Larkin seat. MUDA Chief Syed Saddiq said the talks were held until the last minute before PKR ended the talks by announcing their candidates. His statement comes a day after PKR Chief Anwar Ibrahim expressed his dissatisfaction over the Larkin seat’s clash with MUDA.

The Muar Member of Parliament added that the MUDA candidate in the Larkin State Assembly Rasid Abu Bakar is also a person who has served in the constituency for a long time and should be given the opportunity to be featured.

“I want to present such candidates who work hard and serve hard so that the people are given the choice to vote.

“I understand maybe Keadilan has their views, but in all the negotiation process we try to negotiate until the last minute and we see Keadilan ended the negotiations last week, early to announce (their candidate). But we don’t and we respect the process, ” the former Sports Minister said.

The Larkin state constituency will see a six-cornered clash involving candidates from PKR, MUDA, Barisan Nasional (BN), Perikatan Nasional (PN), Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) and an Independent candidate.
