DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng today said he will file a lawsuit against Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for accussing Lim of turning the Finance Ministry into a Chinese temple during his term as finance minister. He is suing Tjuddin for defamation and is looking for more than just an apology from the controversial UMNO leader.

Guan Eng said he hasasked his lawyer to issue a letter to Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for his statement claiming that Lim has turned the Ministry of Finance into a Chinese temple during his tenure. Tajuddin said this in a live interview with Sinar Harian recently.
Tajuddin claimed that during Lim’s term in the Finance Ministry the office was decorated with lanterns just like a Chinese temple and some of the staff went to work wearing shorts. Denying Tajuddin’s claims Lim said that lanterns were put only during the Chinese New Year.
