MACC Officer’s BIG CHARGE at Syed Saddiq – ‘MUDA chief didn’t inform of…’

MUDA president Syed Saddiq had not informed MACC of the expenditure list that he submitted to the Election Commission for the 14th General Election, Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption Commission investigation officer revealed in the High court today. Nurul Hidayah Kamarudin was the 28th witness amongst 30 witnesses that the prosecution called Syed Saddiq Syed Saddiq’s breach of trust and money laundering case.

Nurul Hidayah Kamarudin, when called for re-examination, stated that she had no idea Syed had submitted 10 expenditures list amounting RM171,675 to the Election Commission for GE14. She said that Syed asked her to refer the document to his personal and political finance manager, Amshar. However, according to her Amshar had denied managing receipts of payment for GE14 in 2018.

The prosecutor called 3 MACC officers today before resting his case against Syed Saddiq. He has so far called a total of 30 witnesses in the criminal breach of trust and money laundering case. Syed is facing two cases of money laundering amounting to RM100,000.
