Quality Of Life Improves Due To Reduction In Hospitalisation: Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health has observed that the country has seen a significant reduction in Covid-19 cases and hospitalisaton due to the national immunisation programme. The ministry has also observed that the quality of life among the Malaysian people have improved. According to the ministry, the government has successfully carried out the vaccination programme across the country in order to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a tweet, the Health DG said “MOH has observed a significant reduction in Covid-19 infections, hospitalisation, thus leading to the improvement in the quality of life amongst Malaysians.”

According to the government’s official website CovidNow, 78.6 per cent of the total population has received both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine. While a total of 97.8 per cent of adults are fully vaccinated against the infection.

Earlier Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that over nine million booster shots have been administered so far. He further stated that over 10 million more booster shots will be administered in the country by next week.
