Perikatan Nasional’s coalition parties PAS and Bersatu today confirmed that they will be contesting under PN’s logo in the upcoming Johor state election. In a joint statement today, both PAS and Bersatu reaffirmed their cooperation, and pledged to work as one team in the Johor polls. PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin confirmed the move by sharing a one-page pledge. Muhyiddin further said that PN would take the same approach it used in Melaka polls.

In a press conference, Muhyiddin said that PN coalition has the right strategy to win in Johor elections. “There will be a mix of youth, women and experienced hopefuls,” he added.
In the one-page pledge shared by Muhyiddin, both the parties promised mutual trust and equal partnership. While they also said that there cooperation to the federal government is conditional based on the respect, integrity and welfare of the people.
Earlier,in a Facebook video, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang warned UMNO that PAS and Bersatu will hit back if the party continues to trigger state elections like Johor polls.
Meanwhile, taking a swing back Barisan Nasional deputy chief, Mohamad Hasan slammed the Islamic party by saying that PAS won’t be a part of the government after the next general election.
