Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor said that the state government backs Barisan Nasional’s proposal to appoint three deputy prime ministers to represent Sabah, Sarawak, and the peninsula respectively if the coalition wins in the 15th general election. In a statement, Hajiji Noor said, “We will look for someone who is eligible and really deserves to be deputy prime minister.” He said this after attending a Deepavali celebration organised by the state government and the Sabah Indian Chamber of Commerce in Kota Kinabalu today.

This comes after BN chairman Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi proposed to appoint three DPM posts to represent Sabah, Sarawak and the peninsula if BN wins in the upcoming election. He even suggest Prime Minister Ismail Sabri to include this in the BN and GPS manifesto for GE15.
