What is OKU?

Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) parking spots are for differently-abled individuals. It is normally bigger than the general parking and is placed near entrances and exits to make things easier for them.

He shared that when he was out for a walk at the park, a street vendor had placed a chair at the OKU parking space, however Mr. Isma decided to move the chair and park his car considering he had brought his differently-able boy with him.

As he moved the chair, the vendor approached him and asked him to move his car as he wants to unload things and park their van there.

Even after seeing Ahmad in his walking aid, he insisted Mr. Isma to move his car.”If I was alone and I didn’t bring my son along. I won’t park at this blue square. Shame on you as an able-bodied person for parking in a space that is not our right,” Mr. Isma told the vendor.  Soon after realising his mistake, the vendor apologised for his mistake.
