The Malaysian Medical Association today said strict action must be taken against doctors who are issuing fake vaccination certificates. MMA president Dr Koh Kar Chai said that such medical practitioners should face heavy punishment. He further added that the act of issuing Covid vaccine certificates to those who have not received their shots has risked countless lives.

In a statement, he said that shockingly over 5,000 fake vaccination certificates were issued by the clinic located in Gombak. He further said that the association would not allow few black sheep to tarnish the name and reputation of the profession.
He was quoted saying, “MMA will support the sternest action taken against any medical practitioner found to be involved in such irresponsible and criminal acts.”
He further advised the public to report such incidents to police or email complaints to sectary@mma.org.my. Earlier, Selangor police arrested six workers and a polyclinic owner for issuing fake Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
