Kuala Lumpur: Days after the free frozen chicken event that jammed the streets of Putrajaya, now senior Umno leader Annuar Musa has announced the free rice to the people amid the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Announcing on his Facebook post, Musa said that he will distribute free rice to at least 1,000 people in a day and three separate days in a week.
People will have to visit his residency to get a coupon for free rice. However, he did not disclose whether he get permission from authorities for such activity.
Last week, on 15 January, Umno Youth had organised free frozen chicken in Putrajaya, which jammed the streets and thronged the location as hundreds of people came out to get free meals.
Later, authorities said that case has been filed against MCO offenders and organisers who did not get permission to organise such event.
