Barisan Nasional minister Annuar Musa today revealed that he is leaving it to the UMNO leadership to decide whether or not he should be contesting in the upcoming 15th general election. He said that the party has a process of selecting the candidates, so other parties should not make any assumptions.

In his statement, Annuar revealed that he has not received any invitation to attend Barisan Nasional’s candidates announcement for GE15 happening tonight.
He said “The question on candidates is not something that we can ask or lobby for. If we are considered by the leadership, on whatever consideration, we are just a tool for the party which chooses us to contest using its party logo.”
Annuar said that not being selected by the party to contest is not the end of everything He said leaders can contest on their own, however, according to him he will not lobby, ask or appeal to contest, but leave the decision on the party leadership.
