BTS Billboard Celebrating Jungkook’s Birthday Removed For ‘Promoting Homosexuality’

A billboard celebrating BTS member Jeon Jungkook’s birthday was quickly taken down by an Islamic party in Pakistan for ‘promoting homosexuality.’ The billboard reads ‘Happy 24th Birthday’  and ‘Jungkook BTS Gujranwala Army’ with a huge picture of Jungkook. Korean boyband BTS fans, also known as the ARMY put up a huge billboard on the roadside in the city of Gujranwala. The band has a huge fan base worldwide. The ARMY keeps finding different ways to express their devotion and love for the boyband.

Hours after installment, the political party Jamaat-e-Islami took it down and accused the band of promoting homosexuality. Assembly Candidate Furqan Aziz Butt said that the billboard was creating commotion and they received many complaints calling it inappropriate. 

He said that the boyband is negatively influencing young minds and encouraging them to behave in wrong activities. He questioned why the billboard was installed in Pakistan when the band had no business there. Gujranwala Army expressed their displeasure over the incident and said that BTS has a huge fan base in Pakistan as well, adding, that they have never promoted vulgarity. Instead, politicians are ruining the country’s image.
