Europe Considering Nuclear War: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Russia-Ukraine War: World War Three can be a “nuclear war” as Western Politicians are considering it, alleged Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday. Speaking with the media, Lavrov claimed that Russia has no plan for a nuclear attack amid the Ukraine invasion but it’s in the heads of Western politicians. His statement comes days after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear deterrent on high alert that has sparked a wave of anxiety across the world.

“I would like to point out that it’s in the heads of Western politicians that the idea of a nuclear war is spinning constantly, and not in the heads of Russians,” Lavrov said.

Moscow, which has the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons and a huge cache of ballistic missiles, had waged the war against ex-Soviet nation Ukraine last week on Thursday.

Earlier, on Sunday Russian President Vladimir had ordered its military to put its nuclear weapons on high alert after the US and its allies imposed tough sanctions against Russia.

Since the war began, more than 200 people killed and over 500 injured. The war also forced millions of Ukrainians to leave their homeland, seeking asylum in neighbouring countries—especially Romani, Poland and Hungary.
