13 Areas Around Kuala Lumpur To Face Water Disruption

A total of 13 areas in Kuala Lumpur will face unscheduled water disruption starting today. The water outage is due to a burst pipe along Middle Ring Road 2. According to Air Selangor corporate communications head Elina Baseri, the water will be restored in stages after the repair work is completed, which is expected to be by 11.30 am tomorrow.

The 13 areas affected by the unscheduled water disruption are Taman Muda, Taman Bukit Permai, Taman Bukit Pandan, Kg Cheras Baru, Taman Mawar, Taman Seraya, Taman Mega, Taman Bukit Teratai, Taman Melur, Taman Saga, Taman Putra, Pandan Mewah and Taman Mestika.

In a statement, Air Selangor said they will mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals and dialysis centres as well as funeral parlours. 

Consumers are advised to follow the standard operating procedures and maintain physical distancing as well as wear face masks at all times while collecting water from the tankers.
