Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today said that the all the agreements signed with Sabah and Sarawak including the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) must be respected and fulfilled. He said that the Federal government need to try to resolve the MA63 issues earnestly.

In his speech at the state banquet in Kuching, Anwar said that it needs to be acknowledged that the previous federal government also made efforts over the years in this regard, including by amending the Federal Constitution.
He said, “We need to try to resolve it earnestly and not just make political statements or promises to get support from Sarawak or GPS.”
