UMNO deputy president Mohamad Hasan today said that Perikatan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan should form a new unity federal government. He said that Barisan Nasional should accept the voters rejection in the 15th general election and should remain as the opposition.

In a Facebook post, Mohamad Hasan, who is popularly known as Tok Mat said, “However, if our help is needed during the post-GE transition period, we are still ready to contribute to the opening of sincere and open discussions.”
He further said that BN is simply respecting the democratic process which is to return the mandate to the people. Tok Mat asked people not to blame the coalition if even after this the government still cannot be formed.
