Bersatu deputy president today warned that the party members should not threaten to quit the party when they are not selected to contest in the upcoming 15th general election. He said that if something like this happens it means that the leader is only struggling for personal profit and not for the party.

Ahmad Faizal said that the party members should respect the decision made by the leadership and instead of threatening shoud support the candidates contested to ensure the victory in the election.
He said this at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Perak Youth Centre in Tambun today. When asked about Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali contesting independently if not chosen to by party, Ahmad Faizal said “He has never personally told me about this but to me, no party member should be making such a threat.”
