Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen today announced his resignation from the vice-president post of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). He said that him quitting the post is effective immediately. He further confirmed the speculation of him resigning because he was not included in the upcoming 15th general election.

Previously Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu denied the rumours of Mohd Rafiq quitting. However, Bernama today reported that Rafiq has resigned from the vice-presidents post.
Mohd Rafiq also revealed that he has resigned because he was not selected to contest in the Tangga Batu parliamentary seat.
