The Two former PMs have locked horns ahead of the Johor Assembly Elections that will be held next month on March 12.
In an open letter to Johor voters, Mahathir said Abdul Razak Hussein was a warrior and a dignified nationalist while his son is a “national embarrassment” as the court said during the 1MDB scandal.
Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the longest-serving Prime Minister of the country, further said in his letter that Najib has made the nation’s head hang in shame after the 1MDB scandal. He said that foreign media called him a ‘plundering idiot’ after his name came up in the alleged corruption charges.
Dr M, who was recently discharged from the hospital, further added that Najib is a power-hunger politician who wants to regain power “shamelessly”.
According to Langkawi MP, Najib believes that only his own political power can help him out from punishment that he has committed while ruling the country from 2009 to 2018.
