Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan today revealed that the federal government through government-linked companies under the Ministry of Finance is looking to rent idle state land to implement modern agriculture projects. He said this ia a part of government’s efforts to ensure food security in the country.

In a statement, Ahmad Maslan said, “This is part of the feedback from the Budget 2023 dailogue session with state governments. The federal government is looking for idle state land and the GLCs with sufficient financial resources can develop such lands.”
He said this after a dialogue session with the Negeri Sembilan government. Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun was also present at the session.
