Former UMNO vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein today confirmed that he had received his suspension letter from the party, four days after the news of his status broke. The suspension letter dated January 30.

In a Tweet, Hishammuddin said, “No reason for suspension was specified.” According to the letter, the suspension will be in force for six years beginning January 27, 2023 or two UMNO supreme council terms.
However, the letter did not specify the reason or incident that lead to Hishammuddin’s suspension.
