Bersatu Srikandi has submitted at least 15 names of candidates for the upcoming Johor elections. Rina Mohd Harun, who is the chief of Bersatu’s women wing, said that a list of candidates has been submitted to party Chief Muhyiddin Yassin. She said this in a press conference after courting the residents of the Chen Ai Welfare Center, Kelana Jaya on Sunday.

“It is up to the President (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) and the leadership to make the decision. However, I believe women will be given the space and opportunities they deserve,” Rina Harun said while speaking to the media.
The Johor polls will be held after the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, agree to dissolve the State Assembly (DUN) on 22 January.
Following the dissolution, the Election Commission (EC) will hold a special meeting on February 9 to determine important dates such as early nomination day, early voting and regular voting.
