Kedah MB Hinted Dissolution Of State Assembly After June 18

Kedah chief minister Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor today hinted that the state assembly will be dissolved after June 18, making way for state polls. He said that the dissolution will be based on factors like arrival of the fasting month, Aidilfitri celebration, haj season and Aidiladha celebration before that.

In a statement, Muhammad Sansui said, “In March and April, it’s the fasting month and Raya after that we have to wait for them to come back, and on June 18, we have the sultan of Kedah’s birthday celebration. It can only be done after that.”

He further said that it is upto PAS on when to dissolve the state assemblies in the three states under its rule, namely Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
