“MUDA Eager To Serve, Eager To Learn”: Syed Saddiq Replies Hadi’s Puppet Remark

Syed Saddiq has refused the allegations made by PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang who called MUDA a “puppet of DAP”. He urged Hadi not to labeled MUDA a puppet just because the party is the team of youngsters. Talking to social media following Hadi’s remark, the former Minister said MUDA is eager to serve and learn in the upcoming Johor polls.

–MUDA is eager to serve people–

Former minister Syed Saddiq said that MUDA was founded to build a developed, dignified and integrity Malaysia as well as to bring mature politics. He said that MUDA is eager to serve people irrespective of race and religion.

–MUDA is not “puppet”–

Syed Saddiq, who is the co-founder of MUDA, said that the party works on basic principles—have respect for friends and opponents equally.  He said in his video reply to Hadi that Priority is given to Malaysia, the beloved country.

“Don’t tell us puppets just because we are a party of youngsters,” he said in a video post on social media on Saturday.

He further commented on Abdul Hadi’s action which described Muda as an invention of DAP which aimed to lure Malay youths. Syed Saddiq stressed, Muda is committed to learning and serving all Malaysians regardless of race and religion.

–I restored Sukma–

Recalling his tenure as the minister, Muar MP said, “As the Sports Youth Minister, for the first time in the history of Malaysia, we have restored the right to organise the Malaysian Games (Sukma) to the state of Kelantan with an allocation of more than RM200 million despite the opposition state. That is mature politics.”

–Hadi says MUDA created to “bait” Malay youths–

PAS President Abdul Hadi claimed that DAP is behind the creation of the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) to “bait” Malay youths. According to him, the same was done when DAP created the Amnah by recruiting the PAS people.

Johor Polls and MUDA

For the first time since the MUDA came into existence, the youth-centric party is going to field its candidate in the upcoming Johor assembly elections. Syed Saddiq-led party is in touch with PKR over the seat-sharing in Johor polls.

The Johor election will be held next month on 12 March.
