New Guidelines For International Arrivals In Malaysia. Details Here

International visitors will be allowed to leave the airport within 45 minutes following the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said in his statement on Sunday. The move will come into effect from April 1 which is also transitioning to the endemic phase of Covid-19. Khairy said the new rules also include using the MySejahtera app, pre-departure Covid-19 test and filling in pre-release forms upon arrival. He said if all pre-release form requirements are met he or she will be issued a traveller card in the MySejahtera app.

As the country is fully set to reopen its borders to international travellers from April 1, Khairy announced the details of the new procedure. He said this on his visit to Kuala Lumpur International Airport with transport minister Wee Ka Siong.

According to the minister, international travellers are also required to take an antigen test within 24 hours of arrival or take a breath test at KLIA.

Meanwhile, Wee said the Civil Aviation of Malaysia will direct all airline companies to inform the passengers of the conditions before boarding flights, to ensure that no congestion is created at the arrival hall.

Malaysia is opening its borders for all international visitors from April with a minimum five-day of compulsory quarantine and 72 hours before RTPCR Test upon arrival.
