Pahang Pakatan Harapan Amirudin Shari today said that the party has unanimously agreed to form a state government with Barisan Nasional to ensure that the state government runs smoothly for the benefit of the people. He said that the decision was made at a meeting chaired by him today.

This comes after any coalition or party failed to get a simple majority and the election ended with a hung state assembly. Barisan Nasional obtained 16 seats and Pakatan Harapan secured eight state seats in the 15th general election passing the simple majority of 22 seats needed to form the state government.
Earlier on Thursday, Anwar Ibrahim took oath as the country 10th prime minister in front of Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
