PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan today said that the Islamist party will never work with Pakatan Harapan to form the federal government after the 15th general election. He said even the party fails to get a simple majority and have to form a coalition it’s closest option is to join forces with Barisan Nasional.

In a statement, Takiyuddin said that even to work with BN the final decision will be made by Perikatan Nasional, however it have to take PAS into account.
“When any party gets a minimum simple majority of 112 seats in GE15, that party itself will form the government, but otherwise the parties will combine to form the government,. Even if we have to form a coalition, our closet choice in BN,” Takiyuddin said. He even said that he have conculted PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang before making this statement.
