Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today said that he is going to announce the new Cabinet line-up late this afternoon. He revealed that the final list with the names of the ministers or ambassadors has been presented to Yang di-Pertuan Agong for him to give his consent.

In a statement, Anwar said, “Our options are limited because, as I said before, we don’t want too many ministers or ambassadors with ministerial status so as to reduce the expenditure.”
Anwar said this in his speech at the “Kenduri Rakyat” event after performing Friday prayers at the Muhammad Al-Fateh Mosque in Taman Jati in Ipoh today. He further hoped that the new Cabinet line-up will continue to serve the country so that we can focus on reviving the economy.
