The Election Commission chairman Abdul Ghani Salleh revealed that the 15th general election and the Bugaya state by-election will cost RM1.01 billion. He said that a total of 9,536 polling centres with 39,318 polling stations and channels will be setup. The official polling is scheduled on November 19, while the early voting will take place on November 15.

Further throwing lights on the details of GE15, Abdul Ghani said a total of 363,515 workers will be required during the 15th general election, while EC has appointed 222 returning officers and 1,264 assistant returning officers.
Election Commission whill assign a total of 625 officers comprising of police personnel, representatives from the local authorities and the contesting candidates representatives to monitor election campaign activities.
