Selangor MB Tests Positive For Covid-19

Selangor Menteri Besar Seri Amirudin Shari tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. It was confirmed by the Press Secretariat through a statement after Amirudin underwent of RT-PCR test on the same day. According to the statement, he will undergo self-quarantine for seven days according to the health protocol set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and return to duty officially next week from March 8, 2022.

On behalf of Menteri Besar, he apologised for the inconvenience following this development and requested all those who had come in contact with him in the past 48 hours to isolate themselves and get tested.

“Let us pray for the health of his family and all those affected by the Covid-19 outbreak,” the statement said.

Earlier On Monday, Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister tested positive

Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian had tested positive for Coronavirus. Sim Kui Covid test result revealed after undergoing RT-PCR confirmation. Confirming the news on social media, Deputy Chief Minister also revealed that he did not have any symptoms during the test.
