UMNO today met the Registrar of Societies and provided an explanation for passing the no-contest motion for the posts of president and deputy president. The main purpose of the meeting was to clarify that there was no violation of the meeting rules or the UMNO constitution with a majority of more than 90% of the delegates present agreeing to motion number eight.

Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan revealed that he along with three others met RoS director-general Mohd Nawardi Saad and his deputy at the agency’s headquarters in Putrajaya at 11.30am yesterday with documents prepared by lawyers.
He further said that UMNO will submit additional documents to the RoS this Thursday for further review.
