Gloves Not Compulsory, Says Ismail Sabri

Kuala Lumpur: Senior Minister of security Ismail Sabri Yaakob today clarified that it is not compulsory to wear gloves under the National Security Council’s Standard Operating Procedures amid Movement Control Order.

Taking to Twitter, he stated that there is no SOP for glove-wearing. This comes after a recent video of a police officer issuing a fine to a shopkeeper, who was not wearing gloves, went viral.

However, in the video, the reason behind the compound was not clear.

Later, the Putrajaya district police chief Mohd Fadzil Ali said that the woman was summoned for not complying with the SOPs.

He said the worker was issued a compound for not recording the temperature and failing to register himself on the MySejahtera app prior to starting work.
