ISIS Chief Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was killed in Syria by US army last night, President Joe Biden confirmed on Wednesday. The US army said that Qurayshi blew himself up during the raid in northwestern Syria. The officials also said that several people, including children killed during the operation against terrorists. Qurayshi became the Chief of ISIS in 2019 soon after Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death.

“Last night at my direction, U.S. military forces in northwest Syria successfully undertook a counterterrorism operation to protect the American people and our Allies, and make the world a safer place,” US President Joe Biden said in his statement.
“Thanks to the skill and bravery of our Armed Forces, we have taken off the battlefield Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi—the leader of ISIS. All Americans have returned safely from the operation,” Biden further added.
