The financial assistance to all the civil servants in Kedah will be provided by the state government, the Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has announced on Sunday. He said that RM1,000 will be given to all the government officials under the budget of 2022. The move was taken after seeing their tremendous job during the Covid-19 pandemic. According to reports, the government will spend RM5.6 million to assist civil servants.

During the speech of the state budget 2022, Sanusi said that the government has generated a good amount of revenue even after the restrictions caused by the pandemic.
Appreciating civil servants’ works, Sanusi said that they were continued to execute their jobs and responsibility during the various restrictions and limited services.
According to him, the move will encourage the civil servants to do their best for the well-being of the people of Kedah.
