UMNO Supreme Council member Annuar Musa said UMNO and PAS will have discussions over PPBM’s official entry into Muafakat Nasional today.
MN Secretariat joint secretary-general Annuar said that if PPBM had agreed to join the alliance it would need a memorandum of understanding.
The Federal Territories minister stated at the meeting that parties will discuss how they will prioritise uniting Malay politics and how to work together in unity.
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang will chair the meeting, however, traditionally the two parties’ deputy presidents take the meeting.
Earlier, Annuar announced that the three parties will work together to take on Pakatan Harapan.
However, some of the UMNO members have warned about PPBM being a part of MN, stating that the grassroots are not comfortable.
